Here's an honest, behind-the-scenes look at exactly how every Photo Magnet Studio magnet is made — by hand, in Australia, just for you.
Step 1: You Upload & Crop Your Photos
It all starts with you. Once you place your order, you upload your favourite photos and crop them so the faces, people or moments you love are perfectly framed. We've made this as simple as possible — no design skills needed.
Step 2: We Place Every Photo Into a Print Template
Once your order comes through, each photo is carefully placed into a print template. Every image is checked to make sure it's positioned perfectly before anything goes to print.
Step 3: We Print & Cut
The template is printed, then cut using a guillotine cutter. Each individual photo is then punched out using a graphic punch — giving every magnet its clean, precise shape.
Step 4: The Magnet Press
This is where the magic happens. Each photo goes through a badge-style magnet press with three layers — a Mylar protective cover, a metal plate, and backing. We then hand-press every magnet using a machine that presses them together into one solid, beautiful magnet. Then every single magnet backing is added one by one, by hand.
Step 5: Packed & Posted With Care
Once every magnet in your set is made and checked, your order is carefully packed and posted Australia-wide. We take pride in making sure your magnets arrive safely and looking exactly as beautiful as you imagined.
